This is the gruesome moment a monster python regurgitated THREE pet puppies.

The 12ft long killer snake was found coiled up in a cave after the baby dogs went missing in Saraburi, central Thailand, on October 23.

In astonishing footage, the reptile spits out three slime-covered puppies one-by-one. Sadly, none of the pets survived.

Armed police even arrived with the rescue team because locals were so terrified of the deadly python.

Rattana Saenwiset, 48, a resident who lives near the Buddhist temple where the python was found, said: ''I was shocked when I saw the size of the python's stomach. It had eaten a very big meal.

''My neighbours were all scared the python could attack them or their children.''

The snake pounced on the hapless pooches in the grounds of the Buddhist temple, where they were looked after by the monks.

Three police officers and a large team of snake catchers were joined by local men as they hunted the snake.

The snake was caught inside the cave then dragged into the open before being splashed with water and left to regurgitate its meal.

Each puppy slid out of from the snake's jaws, their bodies frozen in the positions they were swallowed.

It is unclear how the snake managed to kill all three puppies, but animal handlers said the snake was ''very hungry and aggressive''.

They said that once the snake had caught one puppy, the others may have followed their instincts and tried to help - only to leave themselves at the mercy of the python.

One of the team, Kob, said: ''The snake could have attacked all three at the same time and wrapped itself around them. Pythons are so strong that it would be impossible for the puppies to escape.''

The rescue team stuffed the python into a sack and released it into the wild. The puppies were buried in the temple grounds and Buddhist monks said prayers for their souls.
