Erica's mom Robin has early-onset Alzheimer's disease, something she recently began sharing on her social media, @sendaravenplz on Twitter and TikTok, and being forced to become her mother's caregiver has been a rewarding challenge for the Steiner family.

Among the ways her mother has learned to cope with Alzheimer's would be when she would sweetly kiss the DVD box cover of her favorite movie, "Love Story," and wish her favorite actor, Ryan O'Neal, a good night before turning into bed.

After Ryan's son Patrick reached out to Erica on social media, Robin was floored by meeting her favorite actor over FaceTime in this heart-melting moment from October 23.

"It’s been a really exciting week for us both. Excitement isn’t a feeling caregivers get to experience a lot and, even though her and I are great at making mundane things fun, this has been an exceptionally fun distraction from my otherwise exhausting day-to-day life as a caregiver," Erica tells Newsflare in an exclusive interview.

The heartthrob O'Neal, formerly married to Farrah Fawcett, starred in the romantic Love Story in 1970. The movie turned out to be a box office hit, making O'Neal a star and earning him a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Actor.

"Do you remember the movie Love Story?" O'Neal asks Robin.

"That's you?! No way! Now I'm going to cry..." Robin responds as the trio break into tears upon the heartwarming meeting.

"I'm older than you are! Much older," O'Neal, turning 80 soon, tells Robin.

"I can't even begin to thank you enough," Erica tells the veteran actor who was a huge hit in the 60s thanks to his performance on Peyton Place.

"My mom’s surprising, newfound passion for performing, singing and just getting attention, in general, was the catalyst for making these videos and sharing our journey so the attention has been especially exciting for her. I read her all the comments and tell her how many people have watched it and she is usually very aware of it - she has been eating up all this attention so I’m incredibly grateful that I could help make some degree of fame happen for her," Erica tells Newsflare.
