Fallen trees and collapsed electric posts blocked roads after Typhoon Molave caused devastation in the Philippines.

Local officials and rescuers checked villages in Buhi town in Camarines Sur province for damage on October 26 after the typhoon passed the province.

More than 200,000 residents were affected, mostly in the Southern Tagalog region where Typhoon Molave, or Quinta as it is also known, made landfall multiple times.

Most of the evacuees were from villages that are prone to landslides, flash floods, storm surges, and mudflows.

Typhoon Molave is expected to exit the country today October 27 although it has already moved away from the landmass and is now hovering the South China Sea as it moves towards Vietnam.

Officials in Vietnam, which is still reeling from severe tropical storms this month, have prepared to evacuate more than 1.3 million people.

Typhoon Molave is then expected to move into Cambodia and Thailand.
