Footage shows ambulances arriving at the Notre Dame church in Nice, France, on Wednesday (October 29) after a knifeman killed at least three people.

Video taken from an apartment opposite the religious building shows officers entering the building. The attacker was still in the church at the time they entered and arrested them.

The filmer said the attack ''started outside at a snack bar'' and then ''continued in the church.''

French media and police said the attacker with a knife killed three people and wounded several others at the church. One woman is believed to have been decapitated.

Mayor Christian Estrosi said the knife attack had happened in or near the city’s Notre Dame church and that police had detained the attacker.
