Typhoon Molave landed on Vietnam's mainland on Wednesday (October 27), bringing heavy rain and strong winds.

Footage from Thursday (October 28) shows a large stream of water curling down from the mountains.

This dangerous scene was filmed in Ngoc Linh Commune, Dak Lei District, Kon Tum Province.

"The fast flowing water makes people in this area dare not cross the bridge and is isolated," said the filmer.

According to local media, as of Thursday morning, Typhoon Molave has left 55 people missing, injured 28 people, and damaged 2,527 houses in central Vietnam.

At least 16 people have died, and 37 are missing after landslides hit two mountainous communes in Nam Tra My District.
