Bridge was washed away after the Molave storm, people had to stretch steel wires on both sides to be able to swim across the fast flowing river in Vietnam.

The dangerous scene showed people trying to stretch a steel wire across a rapidly flowing river. The scene was recorded in Vinh O Commune, Vinh Linh District, Quang Tri Province, Vietnam on October 29.

The bridge was washed away after the Molave storms inland Vietnam. In order for people to move across the river, people had to stretch steel wires on both sides to be able to cross the fast flowing water. They will cling to that steel rope to swim across the river.

People said: "This is extremely dangerous but because they are isolated they have to take risks".

Storm Molave caused left 55 people missing, injured 28 people and damaged 2,527 houses in central Vietnam. At least 16 people have died and 37 are missing after landslides hit two mountainous communes in Nam Tra My district, Quang Nam province in central Vietnam.
