Chaos ensued in Nottingham as police officers attempted to disperse crowds enjoying their last night out before tier lockdown restrictions were enforced in the area.

Footage filmed on October 29 shows officers arresting one male who knocked a female officer's cap off.

Locals were seen wearing fancy dress celebrating Halloween early as well as large crowds chanting together.

Nottingham's streets were packed with revellers as bars began to empty at 10pm on the night before the City and wider county were plunged into a tier 3 + lockdown. Police were seen arresting one male who had knocked a female police officers cap off whilst she dealt with an unresponsive male on the ground.

Nottinghamshire police tried their best to disperse crowds, however they were outnumbered by individuals who were mostly students from Nottingham Trent university and University of Nottingham.

Despite the high infection rate which has resulted in the lockdown, revellers appeared unfazed by the risked associated with the current coronavirus pandemic.
