Eighties nostalgia trip! UK man plays classic arcade games on homemade LED panel
A London man has created his own LED panel that can host classic arcade games including "Space Invaders" and "Tetris."
Footage from October 7 shows the device in action, in which our innovative gamer demonstrates how the popular classics are played on the small panel.
He explained that the contraption was made by applying the Raspberry Pi programme displayed on an LED matrix.
He said: "This is a C++ application that runs various cellular automata and retro games on a Raspberry Pi and an LED matrix.
"It can be controlled using a controller. I have used a PS4 and Nintendo Switch Pro controller successfully.
"Consider this a pre-alpha version, install and play around with it if you are interested, but it doesn't function as a finished product yet."
"It can also interface with an iPad companion app I wrote, the code for this is in the networking folder.
"The iPad app allows you to paint individual pixels and communicates these over a local network to the matrix." He added.
No stranger to cool DIY tech, the filmer has also created an application where he can paint on an LED matrix with the use of an iPad.
