A group of young diners recorded themselves eating raw coconut worms in a bowl of fish sauce and chilli at a restaurant in Kbang, Vietnam.

Known locally as "Đuông Dừa" the local delicacy is a form of beetle larvae and shows the live worms crawling around the plate and wriggling between chopsticks.

The dish has a great nutritional value too as earthworms are high in protein, iron and amino acids which help break down food. They also contain minerals such as copper, zinc and manganese.

This footage from September 2 will leave you speechless.

The scene shows a group of young people enjoying eating raw coconut worms crawling in a bowl of fish sauce.

It's still moving! They are called "Đuông Dừa" or "coconut worm". "Duong Dua" is a form of beetle larvae. Live worm will be placed in a bowl of fish sauce and chili.

It will surely be a little scary at first glance because the worm will still be moving in between your chopsticks.
