A horse was rescued by a good samaritan after its leg became trapped in the hole of an underground sewage chamber in western India.

The incident took place in Nala Sopara, a town within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, on November 1.

Footage from the rescue operation shows the man attempting to pull the horse's leg from the hole. Fire department officials are then seen to use a gas torch to make the hole bigger. When the animal is finally freed, observers cheer and clap.

According to local reports, the horse sustained minor injuries to its hind legs.

The video shows the Samaritans rescuing the horse whose leg got stuck in the underground chamber hole. Few are also seen trying to use the gas torch to make a big hole to rescue the horse.

According to the reports, the horse was walking on the road when the leg got stuck and got its hind injured in the accident.

The horse was rescued with minor injuries by the fire department officials.
