This is the shocking moment an out-of-control car crashed into a pickup truck parked outside a tire shop in Thailand.

Prasith Joe Saengsomphon, 28, had just closed for the day and was having dinner with his wife in Nonthaburi province when they heard the loud crash outside on October 28.

CCTV cameras installed in front of their shop captured the moment the car slammed into their property.

The speeding car was seen losing control from the alley before it hit their truck and smashed through their shop's shelves.

The shop owner and his wife rushed outside to check what happened and found the wreckage before calling the rescuers and police for help.

Prasith said: "We were having dinner inside when there was a loud noise in front. When we went outside, everything was destroyed."

The 35-year-old driver, who was allegedly drunk, had a bleeding head injury so he was rushed to the hospital by the paramedics.

Sai Noi district police took the wrecked cars to the police station to use as evidence before interviewing the driver after receiving treatment.

The driver negotiated with officers and the business owner the next day and agreed to pay for the damage to the truck and the property, estimated to be 400,000 Baht (10,000GBP).

The shop's owner decided not to push through with the case after the damages were paid off.
