This is the shocking moment an out-of-control pickup truck swerved over a central reservation and crashed into an oncoming car in the opposite lane.

Dashcam footage shows how the vehicle skidded across the opposite lane in Chachoengsao province, Thailand on October 25.

The driver, Nong Tiffy, 30, said she was travelling to her home town when the pickup truck crossed lanes without any warning.

Tiffy was able to turn her car away to avoid a head-on collision but her rear bumper was clipped and the car wobbled from side-to-side as she battled to regain control.

She said: "I was driving on my lane when the pickup came and hit me. I avoided a much worse crash.''

The woman was unscathed while the other driver fled before the police arrived to investigate. Her car was also damaged from hitting the concrete.

Tiffy submitted a copy of her dashcam footage to the police as evidence to help their search for the driver.
