The Covid 19 pandemic did not deter four Covid 19 infected people from voting at various polling stations in Bangalore in southern India on November 3.

Election officials had identified 148 Covid 19-infected voters and offered to make special arrangements for them to vote. Four patients, who were in home isolation, took up the offer.

They arrived at polling stations wearing Personal Protective Equipment kits (PPE) in ambulances sent by officials.

Polling officials also donned PPE kits and sanitized polling stations before and after the Covid 19 patients cast their vote.

Senior polling officials had made these arrangements and were personally present to make sure there were no hitches.

A part of Bangalore voted to elect a representative for state assembly after a sitting member resigned.
