There were a number of arrests during a protest in New York on Wednesday (November 4) that demanded every vote be counted in the US election.

Video captured fires being started by protesters in the West Village area of Manhattan. The protesters also had an effigy of Donald Trump's head on a spike.

Police put out the fire and arrested some protesters.

President Donald Trump has claimed that postal ballots, which are still being counted in some states, are tainted with fraud and that counting of those ballots should stop in the states where he is ahead. He has not made the same demand of states where continued counting of such ballots might help him however.
