Two Story Home Heavily Damaged by Fire on The Second Floor, Crime Suspected

Cal Fire and Soboba Fire responded to reports of a residential fire in the 1700 block of Caseros Dr in San Jacinto, California with a neighbor attempting to break the front door down to alert anyone in the home. Arriving crews located a two story family residence with flames and smoke showing from the roof and the second floor of the home. Firefighters initiated an attack on the fire which was rapidly engulfing the entire roof and part of the rear of the residence. Firefighters had the difficult to control fire contained in about 30 mins. Breathing support, Edison and were requested on scene. At 2:39 am, Cal Fire requested Riverside County Sheriff's to respond to the location due to a possible crime scene. The nature of the crime is unknown at this time but in the past there were homes converted into illegal marijuana grow operations that were raided by the Law Enforcement, one house in particular just walking distance from this scene.
