A driverless minibus smashed into a shop narrowly missing an elderly man as the motorist forgot to pull the hand brake in eastern China.

The terrifying CCTV video, filmed in the city of Suzhou in Jiangsu Province on November 6, shows a driverless minibus sliding down a slope and smashing into a shop through its glass windows.

An elderly man and woman sitting in the shop narrowly avoided being crushed by the minibus. No one was injured.

According to reports, the motorist stopped the car in front of the shop and forgot to pull the hand brake.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
