This was the shocking moment two people were harassed in their car by a woman with a flashlight who believed they shouldn't be there.

The clip, filmed on August 1 in Brooklyn, shows Sarah Tahiri and her friend sitting in their car waiting for a parking space when a woman approached the car and started to get angry.

"I was double-parked waiting for a parking spot when I saw a bright flash coming from behind me. I noticed a white woman with blonde hair and glasses flashing her light into my car and into the neighbour's houses," said Sarah.

When asked what she was doing, the woman responded that she was the police and that they couldn't be parked there.

Sarah started recording the incident for the police and TikTok when the woman started to get aggressive and shouting at the pair.

"When she noticed me recording her, she started singing 'oh you're recording me, I'm a Karen, I'm a Karen'" said Sarah. This was not caught on film.

The police were called and listened to Sarah's side of the story before attempting to talk to the woman in question.

"They went to talk to the woman, however, she started screaming and refused to give her information. The officers said that she was intoxicated and if they couldn't obtain any information from her, they could not file any report."

The officers recommended that Sarah and her friend leave the scene.

Sarah Tahiri, 24, was sitting in her car with her friend when they were approached by an angry woman for no apparent reason, other than that they were parked where they weren't supposed to.

The woman then exited her vehicle and walked around Sarah's car, using a flashlight to peer into the windows.

When Sarah asked what she was doing, the woman responded that she was the police and that they couldn't be parked there.

"She started aggressively telling us to leave when we asked her to back away from our faces, because she didn't have a mask on, and she started cursing at us".

This is when Sarah pulled out her phone and started recording the incident on TikTok.

"When she noticed me recording her, she started singing 'oh you're recording me, I'm a Karen, I'm a Karen'" said Sarah. Unfortunately, this was not caught on film.

Sarah said the woman then started to scream as if they were hurting her, which was when Sarah decided to call the police.

"She started to scream as if we were hurting her which is when I decided to call the cops because I didn't want her to call the cops and them come and believe her over us. We also didn't want this instance to happen again so calling the cops gave us a safety net in case this occurrence would happen again" said Sarah.

Sarah said that when the officers arrived, they listened to their story, and watched the recording, "which was all they needed," said Sarah.

When they went to talk to the woman, however, she started screaming and refused to give her information. The officers said that she was intoxicated and if they couldn't obtain any information from her, they could not file any report.

"They said that they couldn't control her or get any information from her, and she was yelling and cursing at them" said Sarah.

The officers recommended that Sarah and her friend leave the scene.

"So we listened to them and just drove off. Unfortunately, nothing was done about the situation," said Sarah.
