Firefighters rescued an 87-year-old woman floating on a river in southern China after she accidentally fell into in.

In the clip, shot in the city of Liling in Hunan Province on November 8, an elderly woman with her arms crossed on her chest is seen floating on a river.

Firefighters swam to approach the woman and brought her back to safety.

According to reports, the elderly woman fell into the river accidentally when she was washing her hands at the riverside.

Since she cannot swim, she held her arms at the front of her chest to make herself float on the river while waiting to be rescued.

She was sent to hospital after she was rescued and luckily she was not injured seriously.
