Terrifying footage shows violent winds ripping away the metal sheets from the roof of a school gymnasium in Catanduanes province, the Philippines during Typhoon Vamco, on November 11.

The strong winds are also seen blowing over the coconut trees that stood around the area during the torrential weather.

The weather state bureau said Typhoon Vamco, also known as Ulysses, will bring destructive winds and intense with at times torrential rainfall at the southern Tagalog region of the Philippines where thousands have been evacuated before it entered the country.

It is expected to leave on Friday November 13 before heading to the central region of Vietnam.

The storm comes just days after Typhoon Goni killed 74 people and destroyed thousands of homes in the Philippines on November 1.
