Flash floods gushed through submerged homes and caused road erosion in a village in Apayao, Philippines on November 11 during Typhoon Vamco, also known as Ulysses.

Residents secured their belongings before leaving for evacuation centres as the deluge poured down into the mountainous region.

Further footage shows muddy flash floods gushing through homes in Taggat Norte, Cagayan province.

Kaye Pamittan Quime, who lives in Taggat Norte said the ankle-deep deluge flowed from nearby mountains surrounding the area after hours of heavy downpour.

The weather state bureau said Typhoon Vamco will bring destructive winds and intense rainfall to the southern Tagalog region where thousands have been evacuated.

It is expected to leave on Friday (November 13) before heading to the central region of Vietnam.
