Activists in hazmat suits from animal rights group PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) brought dead minks to the Embassy of Denmark in central London on Wednesday (November 11) as part of a protest against fur farming amidst a mutated form of coronavirus being found in mink.

Denmark has planned to cull all its mink, up to 17 million, because of the coronavirus spread. PETA has argued fur farms are "breeding grounds for disease".

The activists set off flares and handled some of the dead minks outside the embassy.

One of the activists at the demonstration warned the mutation of coronavirus found in mink could cause "a new pandemic".
