Armistice Day 2020 saw 100 years of the Cenotaph on Whitehall - the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month since King George V unveiled the new memorial to the "Glorious Dead" of the 1914-18 war. Extinction Rebellion staged an 8am climate protest with a banner and "Act Now - Climate Change Means War" poppy wreath laid at the Cenotaph. Removed by police within half an hour in the morning, the poppy wreath could be seen at the Cenotaph again in the early afternoon of the Armistice Day.
