Typhoon Vamco caused landslides which blocked roads in Catanduanes, Philippines, on November 11.

The strong winds and heavy rain caused severe flooding and structural damage in parts of the country.

The weather state bureau said Typhoon Vamco, also known as Ulysses, will bring destructive winds and intense rain to the Philippines, where thousands have been evacuated.

It is expected to leave on Friday (November 13) before heading to the central region of Vietnam.

The storm comes just days after Typhoon Goni killed 74 people and destroyed thousands of homes in the Philippines on November 1.
