Strong wind and heavy rain battered Manila, the Philippines this evening (November 11) after Typhoon Vamco slammed into the country.
Footage shows the entrance to an apartment block in the Pasig City area of the capital.

The weather state bureau said Typhoon Vamco, also known as Ulysses, will bring destructive winds and intense with at times torrential rainfall at the southern Tagalog region of the Philippines where thousands have been evacuated before it entered the country.

It is expected to leave on Friday, November 13 before heading to the central region of Vietnam.

The storm comes just days after Typhoon Goni killed 74 people and destroyed thousands of homes in the Philippines on November 1.
