A speeding tractor ploughed into shop running over a pedestrian in Balaghat city in northern India on November 10.

The man miraculously survived and is being treated at a government hospital for his injuries.

Eyewitnesses said the driver of the tractor was speeding and drove into a medical shop after losing control of his vehicle.

Local resident Kailash Chaure, who was standing in front of the shop waiting for the bus, took the full impact of the crash. He was taken to a government hospital, where he is undergoing treatment for his injuries. Doctors said he was wounded in the face and suffered internal injuries as well.

Shop assistant Rohinder Sharanagat also suffered minor injuries in the incident, which destroyed a laptop and a table in the store.

Police are investigating and looking for the tractor driver, who fled from the scene..
