British Airways CityFlyer E190 G-LCYO became the first ever aircraft to use the brand new parallel taxiway that has been built over the top of the King George V dock in London's Royal Docks as part of the London City Airport Development Programme (CADP),

The aircraft undertook a number of trial runs to check that the various entry and exit profiles were suitable for operations and the Airport Fire Service also did a practice response to ensure appropriate access to the aircraft in the event of an emergency.

The new taxiway is expected to be declared operational in the near future.
