A fundraiser who helped to finance President Trump's re-election bid has vowed to 'have our day in court' and 'hold the judges accountable' as the dispute over the U.S. elections continues.

Michael B Alfaro, from Illinois, likened the outcome of the elections to a baseball game suddenly being extended mid-way through the final innings as it's 'not fair to change the rules during the election'.

The finance chief said the 'constitution is on our side' and warned that without a legal challenge, the current vote standings - if upheld - will 'create mistrust in American elections'.

'America will become a third world country if we do not trust what takes place in our democracy at the voting booths,' said Michael.

'We cannot let judges decide for the American people what they feel is in our best interests, their job is to apply the law, not create it.'

Michael cited poll watchers allegedly being refused to see the counting process in battleground states such as Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania as one of the examples of example alleged election fraud.

He also referenced dead people registering votes - another of the key claims being made by Republicans as they dispute the election counts - and the apparent glitch in the Dominion voting software which Trump claimed had switched 6,000 votes in Michigan. Thirty other states used the same software.

Michael added: 'I don't know how that's OK with any American, it isn't. We must look into that and we must prosecute it to the maximum extent of the law.'

The bullish Republican demanded to 'have our day in court.'
