Skateboarders joined an anti-government protest today in Bangkok, Thailand. They launched themselves over a ramp and landed on a large portrait of the Thai Prime Minister.

Footage from the Democracy Monument in the centre of Bangkok shows the colourful scene, with anti-government protesters dancing, skateboarding and delivering speeches. They called it 'Mob Fest'.

Thousands of protesters gathered calling for the country's prime minister to resign. Officials said that 5,000 police had been assigned to control the events, with four rallies taking place across the city.

There were three other demonstrations taking place in other parts of Bangkok, including a rally aimed at tackling perceived gender inequality and another at the Education Ministry on Ratchadamnoen Avenue where activists are criticising the astonishingly bad levels of education in the country.

Thousands of protests have taken place in recent months across Thailand. Activists are calling for a new constitution, the resignation of the prime minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha and reforms of the monarchy.
