In the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Flores, more than 15 city police officers beat and a passerby who apparently, according to witnesses, opened up in defense of a group of Senegalese street vendors who were trying to illegally display their merchandise on the street.

The incidents took place when an operation was carried out on Avellaneda Avenue, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Flores, to prevent the illegal sale of merchandise on public roads. During the procedure, there was a riot in which one of the people was later arrested for throwing a stick at police personnel.

The situation was recorded at a particular moment when it is seen how a group of officers pounced on one of the people who was asking for the release of the mantero and ended up being beaten by several agents. It went viral on networks and generated repudiation to the point that the city will investigate the police procedure.

"During the procedure, there was a riot in which one of the people who was later arrested threw a stick at the police personnel," explained sources from the Buenos Aires government.

The Ministry of Justice and Security initiated a summary to evaluate the police action and sanction those who exceeded their function.

The official version indicates that "personnel from the 7 C Neighborhood Police Station moved towards the intersection of Avellaneda and Helguera avenues when they observed that a man of Senegalese origin wanted to settle to sell objects of apocryphal brands."

"The officers told him to leave, but the man became violent against the police, who managed to delay him and kidnap the merchandise. At the time of transferring him, people gathered at the place who tried to attack the officers to free the seller, including the launch of strong elements, "they maintained.

After the riots, two Argentine citizens and two others from the African country were arrested for attack and resistance to authority, while the Ministry of Justice and Security of the City began a summary to evaluate the actions of the troops and punish those who could exceed their function.
