Belarusian security forces fired stun grenades to disperse protesters who gathered today (November 15th) in the capital.

The protesters were marching to honour 31-year-old demonstrator Roman Bondarenko who was allegedly beaten to death by security forces on November 12th.

Bondarenko’s death was the latest fatality in months of mass protests against President Alexander Lukashenko following a disputed election in August.

Participants of the action intended to restore the memorial to Alexander Taraykovsky, who died at the rally on August 12, and then plan to March to one of the courtyards of Minsk, known as "change Square", to honor the memory of Roman Bondarenko, who died after the November 12.
When several thousand demonstrators gathered In the square of changes, security forces surrounded them and used stun grenades. As a result several people were injured. A water cannon also arrived at the site.
