Pro-monarchy protesters wearing yellow shirts gathered for a rally in Bangkok, Thailand, on Tuesday (November 17).

The crowds of pro-establishment supporters waved flags and held banners outside the Government House.

The protest in support of King Rama X Maha Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida comes ahead of an anti-monarchy protest planned for the afternoon.

On Sunday, protesters scuffled with police before climbing on top of the Democracy Monument in Bangkok.

Anti-government protests have swept the nation in recent months. Activists are calling for sweeping reforms including a new constitution, the resignation of the prime minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha and reforms of the monarchy.
