A woman gave birth to an infant with two heads and three hands in central India's Madhya Pradesh on November 16. The delivery took place in the MCH hospital located in Ratlam.

A video shot on November 17 witnessing the surreal experience features the team of doctors who delivered the child, holding the infant. The newborn is resting in their arms with his legs spread wide across while both his heads rest on the doctor's arm.

Despite the lack of surgical equipment, the delivery was successful. The parents of the baby have been informed about his medical condition while it was brought to notice that the parents did not have a sonography done before the delivery.

The child was delivered after facing a couple of maternal as well as fetal complications. Given the obstructed labor that the mother, Durga, went through, the delivery was considered a very rare vaginal birth.

The team of highly competent doctors heading the case include Dr. Rekha Vimal Gupta, Dr. Pratibha Dixit, Dr. Parul Prichal, Dr. Pooja Gangwar and Dr. Urvashi Kumawat.

According to the authorities present at the hospital, this kind of rare delivery has a probability of one in a million.

The team of doctors treated this case as that of conjoined twins. Sometimes when the separation of the twins is incomplete inside the womb, they are born attached to one another. This was identified as one of the similar rare cases.
