Bangkok police used water cannons to break up a pro-democracy protest outside the Parliament building in Bangkok on Tuesday, November 17.

A group of protesters tried to dismantle the coils of wire set up by police outside the Parliament. Police then fired water cannons to prevent them from moving forward.

The standoff continued onto late afternoon, with police continually using water cannons and at times tear gas.
