This is the sweet moment a girl celebrated her seventh birthday inside their flooded home while sitting on an inflatable paddling pool.

Chloe Annika Ocampo's parents had planned a princess-themed party for her, but the recent typhoon Vamco submerged their house in waist-deep deluge in Pasig City on November 12.

The little girl thought that her party would be postponed due to the flood that had reached the second floor of the house, but her family surprised her in the morning.

Her uncle, Jeff Eugenio, decorated the living room as planned and brought a small inflatable pool before asking the girl's mother to dress her up in a gown and made her wear a cute crown.

Jeff said: "I was sad for my niece, so I encouraged my family to celebrate the birthday party to make her feel the special day even though the weather didn't cooperate."

The girl then hopped in the inflatable and floated around the flooded house as if she was having a princess-themed pool party.

Her loving family then sang a happy birthday song before she blew a small candle on top of a cupcake since no shops were available at that time.

Clarisse, her mother, said she was grateful to her cousin who had planned the unforgettable event.

She said: "I'm glad we pushed through with it. It may not have turned out as planned, but I believe the typhoon made it even more special for us."

Typhoon Vamco, known locally as Ulysses, killed at least 63 people in the Philippines before moving eastwards and making landfall in Vietnam.
