An adorable pet cat laid perfectly still as a grandfather used him as a model to his son how to bathe a baby.

Father-to-be Vinh Quang Pham visited his parents' home with his pregnant wife in Hanoi, Vietnam on November 7.

After dinner, the father, Pham Tuan Vinh, and his son had a conversation about how to take care of the delicate bodies of infants.

The proud grandfather cradled their pet cat, named Laclac, and took a small basin before showing the couple how to properly wash a baby.

He carefully held the cat's head as if it was a fragile baby and placed its little body over the basin while explaining how to clean a newborn.

The old man also gave tips on how to wash the baby's face and told his son to do it before putting the infant to bed.

Laclac stayed perfectly still for the demonstration - like an experienced model helping with the lecture.

It also adorably let them finish off talking before returning to its sleeping mat silently while the adults continued on with their conversation.

Vinh said: "My wife's pregnant with our first child and being a new parent is not easy, so I was lucky that my parents are there to guide us. Even their pet cat Laclac helped.''
