With the onset of the winter season, northern India's Uttarakhand was bedecked with the first snowfall of the period on November 17. The white-out took place in Chopta-Auli.

A video featuring the aftermath of the snowfall shows a blanket of fresh snow covering the hills in striking beauty. The dense coniferous forests along the road can be seen snow-clad with fresh flakes.

A video shot from along the whitewashed road shows oak trees enveloped in the ice crystals. A drone shot one part of the hill station completely carpeted with snow.

A snowplough can be seen clearing out the frozen sheet of snow from the path to assist in regular traffic movement along the path.

Upper Himalayan areas, including Kedarnath and Badrinath of Uttarakhand, also received the season's first heavy snowfall on November 15, intensifying cold conditions across the state.
