A huge 40-metre-deep crater caused by Typhoon Vamco has left a Vietnamese village isolated.

The hole has divided a nearby road making travel extremely hard for locals in Quang Nam.

Footage filmed on November 18 shows villagers assessing the damage caused by the 300-metre-wide hole.

According to villagers, after landfall the Typhoon Vamco caused heavy rain, floods have reappeared. After the floodwaters receded, people discovered a hole more than 40 meters deep and 300 meters wide.
The hole divided the road and made the movement of the villagers difficult.
The Typhoon Vamco landed in central Vietnam, causing the area to be heavily damaged. Strong winds and heavy rain left many areas devastated and isolated. 19 people were injured. 6000 houses were completely damaged. The sea dike is destroyed.
