Pod of orcas surprise father and daughter when they suddenly appear close to New Zealand beach
A father and his daughter were driving along the coast in Shelly Bay, Wellington, New Zealand when they were awed by the surprise appearance of a pod of orcas, also known as killer whales.
The pod made a stop by the Wellington Harbour area on Wednesday (November 11) at about noon, to the delight of onlookers.
"No need to go to SeaWorld when you live in Wellington! My two-year-old girl got up close to three Orcas when we saw them close to shore chasing stingray in Wellington Harbour. They stopped to roll around and play when they noticed us watching them from the rocks" said the father
