At least 19 people have reportedly been killed and dozens injured in Uganda's worst unrest in a decade.

Security forces have attempted to quell protests triggered by the arrest of presidential candidate and pop star Bobi Wine.

Footage captured on Wednesday (November 18) shows demonstrators erecting barricades and lighting fires on roads in the capital Kampala to demand Bobi Wine's release.

Local media reported that he was arrested for violating anti-coronavirus electoral guidelines, which require candidates to have under 200 supporters at a rally.
