Artist Claire Molenda from Chicago has gone viral and garnered a large TikTok following for displaying her creatively-patterned rugs.

Footage from July 7 shows Molenda's creative process when making a dog-adorned piece with a tufting gun used for this type of textile work.

The layout of the dog figure is drawn upon another piece of fabric canvas, which is then drawn out with the gun that applies the yarn.

The video has been viewed over a million times on TikTok, with nearly 240,000 likes.

In a separate video, Molenda explained the painstaking process she goes through to create her rugs, some of which take days.

It can take two-and-a-half hours to design, 18 hours to tuft and another hour to glue, she said.
