A 12-foot-long king cobra was rescued from a fishing net in rural east India after being trapped for several days.

The rescue took place near Mayurbanj in Odisha, on November 21, 2018 after villagers reported to the forest department that a 12-foot-long king cobra was trapped in a fishing net in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district.

Forest Department rescue team rushed to the spot and found a 12-foot-long King cobra trapped in a fishing net and trying to escape. Krishna a member of the rescue team, immediately tried to catch the snake. After half an hour later he was able to catch the King cobra snake.

After the rescued, the department's range officer and team members found that the snake had been injured. It is seemed that the snake was trapped in the net for 2 to 3 days.Rescuer Krishna sprayed the snake.

According to veterinarians, if the snake is released, it will find its own treatment.The snake has been released into the wild.
