India: Cyclone Nivar – High Surf And Heavy Flooding In Chennai Ahead Of Landfall
Heavy rains and strong winds brought about by approaching Cyclone Nivar have already caused flooding in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry on Tuesday, November 24.
Chennai saw roads flooded and coastal areas inundated by high surf. Nivar is expected to landfall with 120 km/h gusts along the coasts southwest of the Bay of Bengal on Wednesday.
