An ice circle was captured spinning on a river that never freezes over in northern China.

The mysterious video, shot in the city of Genhe in Inner Mongolia on November 18, shows a six-metre-diameter ice disc spinning around by itself on a river.

The flowing water and the cold weather may be the key factors to form the disc.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
