Koovathur is a village that is located in Chengalpattu District of Tamilnadu. Cyclone Nivar has lashed many District s of Northern Tamilnadu. Due to this many trees were uprooted. Many cellphone towers have been damaged.

In one such incident a damaged or tilted mobile phone tower was cut down as it lost its signal grabbing capacity totally. The employes of that telecom company came and just cut down the Mobile phone tower completely. The footage unfolds the entire drama completely.

368 Mobile phone towers have been affected during the land fall of the Cyclone Nivar. Due to this many towers have lost the signals and renovation of these are at full swing says Tamilnadu Revenue Minister R B Udhayakumar
