This was the magical moment Robert Kendrick travelled across several states in order to surprise his girlfriend Joanna Crawford by proposing at Universal Orlando Resort.

The Thanksgiving proposal saw Joanna pose for a picture as her fiance-to-be appeared out of nowhere and dropped to one knee in front of the resort's Islands of Adventure in Hogsmeade.

Joanna, from Texas, told Newsflare: "Robert, from Georgia, is an over-the-road trucker. He had to work over Thanksgiving while I had a trip to Universal Orlando planned with my sister, brother-in-law, niece, & nephew.

"While I was disappointed he would be trucking through other states and unable to join us, he was planning a surprise with my family’s help!

"Tuesday (November 24) morning my family stalled me while Robert got into place. They told me they were going to take photos in front of Hogwarts when Robert popped up behind my sister!

"You can tell by my head tilt how shocked I was to see him! He dropped to one knee & popped the question. We only got about 10 hours together, but we made the most of our time, newly engaged, in a magical place!"

The self-confessed Harry Potter fan also revealed she has a tattoo dedicated to the popular film and book series: "We're big fans! I have a Harry Potter tattoo on my right hand."
