Every person had a different passion and hobby , but a Pune based businessman named Shyam Mothe had a very unique passion of collecting Lamps .
Till date he had collected more than 250 lamps in a span of 25 years . The oldest lamp which he has in his collection is 150 years old and the newest one is 50 year old lamp .
Shyam mothe tells he had passion for collecting things , i saw two old lamps which were made in England and was powered by kerosene , i bought those lamps and dismanteled them to study about the parts , from that point i got passionate about different lamps and curious about its part and technology used in it . Mothe tells i travelled a lot in India and abroad for antique and unique lamps used in older days .
In his collection the most unique and precious lamp is that mounted on the victoria buggy .
He had a cycle lamp a railway signal lamp powered by candles ,hurricane lamps and many others .
Mothe tells he intends to collect more auch lamps in future
