8 million Christmas trees are cut each year in the UK but this ice cream company aims to reduce that number

This ice cream company in Stroud, UK is aiming to reduce the amount of Christmas trees are cut down each year with its own sustainable method.

Winstone's Ice Cream has been offering a rental service for Christmas trees allowing customers to return the trees without them having to be disposed of.

Tom Vear, sales director at the company, said: "Our main aim is to tackle the eight million cut Christmas trees that are consumed in the UK every year."

According to the Winstone's Ice Cream website, the average lifespan of their trees is seven to eight years.
