Hindu holy man sits on tree for 9 days to kill corona
A 70-year-old Hindu holy man spent nine days on a tree praying to kill the corona virus. Mahadeva Muthya, who is a wandering ascetic, climbed the tree on November 18 and stayed there praying without eating any food or water and not even attending his nature calls.
His followers prayed on the ground singing hymns to the god. On November 27 the Muthya was brought down and fed with fruits and milk and his followers touched his feet asking for his blessings. Muthya said he did a special prayer to kill coronavirus and protect people and country. This incident happened at Mogala village in Chittapura taluk in Kalburgi district of Karnataka.
