Man skis down hillside in the Peak District, UK
A cool video has emerged of a man skiing down a snow-covered hillside in the Peak District, UK.
The footage, captured on a helmet camera by skier Michael Birkby, shows his tentative descent down Mam Tor Gully after a flurry of snow created a temporary ski slope on Monday.
According to the Met Office, a yellow weather warning for snow and ice was in place until Thursday afternoon.
“An extremely rare and dangerous ski descent of Mam Tor Gully in the Peak District which is only feasible under rarely seen snow conditions,” the filmer later wrote online.
"In this warming world there are still times when it is possible to ski in the Peak District, and sometimes Mam Tor Gully sees a few descents.”
