A dramatic video has emerged from China of firefighters rescuing a toddler after her head got trapped in railings on the side of a bridge.

In the footage, captured during the rescue in a park in Chongqing, firefighters can be seen using specialist equipment to free the girl’s head from a small gap between the concrete railings and the floor.

According to local news reports, the rescue took just twenty minutes and the girl only suffered minor grazes to the back of her head.

Although the video was recorded in July 2014, it has only recently emerged online.
